Frequently Asked Question

  1. Does MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004 have a word wrap option?
    Currently, no. All versions prior to MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004 did have a word wrap option. MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004 uses different text editing component, which doesn't have support for word wrapping (at least not yet). Personally, I don't see this as a big drawback, because MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004 is designed to be a "programmers editor" and every programmer has unique style when writing code (i.e. indenting and wrapping). However, I plan to implement word wrap in the future versions of MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004, but I can't say exactly when this will happen (you need to have in mind that MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004 is free software and that I also have other things to do besides developing MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004).
  2. Where is the help file?
    Unfortunately, there's no help file for MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004 (at least not yet). I don't have enough free time to develop MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004 and write documentation at the same time. There were some initiatives in the past for writing a help file, but they weren't realized. If you have some time and would like to write a help file (at least a starting version), I would be very grateful.
  3. Can I donate to support further development?
    First, I would like to say that I'm very glad that you want to support MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004 by donating! Currently, I can't use PayPal to accept donations, because it isn't available in my country (Serbia). However, if you want to send me some money, you can do that either by bank transfer or via post mail. Contact me (by e-mail) for more details. Oh, and I would like to clarify that since MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004 is free software, you're not obligated to donate by any means, but would make me very happy if you do so.
  4. Can MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004 integrate with advanced PHP manual in CHM format?
    Yes, it can. First, download the manual from http://weblabor.hu/php-doc-chm/ and install it. After that, in MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004 go to Tools / Program Options / External Programs and click on Add and enter the following:

    Name: PHP HTML-Help
    File Name: C:\WINDOWS\hh.exe (replace "C:\WINDOWS" with actual location where you installed Windows)
    Parameters: mk:@MSITStore:php_manual_en.chm::/_function.html#${CurWord}
    Working Folder: >Enter the full path where you extracted advanced PHP manual<

    Optionally you can choose how to show help window and assign shortcut. Now, wherever you need to get help for some specific PHP function, just move text cursor to its name and start newly created external program or press shortcut that you've associated with it.
