- After more than two years, new version is finally here!!! :-)
- Cleared Pre-Release status, it has been a very long time since the first 
  release and the program has performed very well during that time!
- New editor component with syntax highlighting for 22 different file types 
  and many advanced editing features is now used
- Completely new GUI with several custom themes and full support for 
  Microsoft® Windows® XP themes
- Internal file-handling has been greatly improved
- Printing has been greatly improved
- Support for Mozilla as Internal Preview browser
- Added advanced preview path mappings (file-to-file, file-to-folder, etc.)
- Extended Find & Replace functions have been greatly updated and now are 
  more than 100% faster than before and not to mention advanced regular 
  expressions support with syntax error checking and easy modifiers access
- New Code Library that assimilated existing Tag Library and Keyboard Macros
- Support for new HTML Tidy with advanced accessibility checks and 
  HTML -> XHTML conversion
- Added support for many different character encodings (Windows, ISO, 
  Mac, etc.), including UTF-8
- Added support for XHTML markup language
- All Tag Designers have been updated
- You can now define unlimited number of external browsers
- Added ability to define favorite folders
- Undo is now also available after saving files
- Quick Open has been replaced with much more powerful Mini Explorer
- Added ability to export files with syntax highlighting to HTML, RTF 
  and LaTeX format
- Added incremental search and code bookmarks
- Program Options dialog has been completely redesigned
- Added ability to define your own file masks for recognized file types and 
  easily switch between different syntax highlighting types
- MAX's Image Beauty++ 2004 Image Browser / Viewer has been completely 
  rewritten and greatly improved (thumbnail browsing, support for 
  alpha-blended PNG images, etc.)

January 7, 2001 / Version 1.5 Build 3700 (Pre-Release)

- HAPPY NEW MILLENIUM!!! :-)
- added NEW image set featuring Carmen Electra! Also, all previous 
  Image Sets have been updated
- added EXPERIMENTAL Spelling and Grammar check (this feature requires
  Microsoft® Word 97 or higher to be installed!)
- some internal changes related to Credits panel in About box have been done
- clipboard contents will now be checked on program startup (and
  corresponding commands will be enabled depending on what is in clipboard)
- added possibility to turn off information messages from Find & Replace 
  commands
- fixed right-click tag editing of <SCRIPT> tags, which didn't work so far!
- fixed the position of vertical scrollbar (main editing window) when
  running under Windows® 2000
- fixed monitoring for file changes, which didn't always work
- all other noticed bugs have been crushed (as always) :-)

November 24, 2000 / Version 1.5 Build 3667 (Pre-Release)

- fixed one VERY STUPID bug that I've introduced in previous version,
  related to syntax highlighting customization... DAMN!
  I really can't believe this and I really apologize. Anyway, I had to 
  release a fixed version ASAP! Everyone should download this new version!
  BTW This is probably a punishment, because I've used that evil number as 
  a build number :-)

November 22, 2000 / Version 1.5 Build 3666 (Pre-Release)

- added NEW image set featuring Kelly Brook! I'll try do make new image
  sets more often :-) Also, if you have artistic talent, you can make one, 
  too (e-mail me for more info)... 
- added much better handling of Image Sets (ala Winamp's Skins), they can
  be added & removed easily, also you can randomize them on startup!
- added possibility to allow multiple program instances
- added option to generate HTML report from search results
- added support for *.inc files (file opening & project management)
- improved support for Regular Expressions in Extended Find & Replace
  (you can include matched text in replace string, by using "$n" where "n"
  is 0 for whole matched text or the number of sub-expression), also 
  Extended Find & Replace will now remember last used options
- improved functions that are used for converting Extended Characters to 
  HTML Entities and vice-versa
- improved Tip of the Day dialog
- improved file locking in internal functions that are used for dealing 
  with .bdt files (MAX's Data file type)
- fixed bug related to file types, which I've introduced together with new 
  Open & Save dialogs which were used under Windows® ME and 2000 (Why no-one
  didn't report this to me so far?)
- fixed all problems which were caused by automatic handling of hot-keys 
  in menus (which I've introduced in previous version)
- all other noticed bugs have been crushed (as always) :-)

August 28, 2000 / Version 1.5 Build 2000 (Pre-Release)

- added much better support for local area networks, or should I say for 
  dealing with UNC pathnames :-) Anyway, you'll notice that Quick Open now 
  shows complete "Desktop" tree - (i.e. it shows My Computer, My Documents,
  Network Neighborhood / My Network Places); everything said above also applies 
  to Image Beauty!
- added TWO new Beauty Scripts (many thanks to Mike Hall)!
- added support for viewing WBMP image files in Image Beauty
- when running HTML Beauty directly from network server, it will check to see 
  if folder where main executable file is located is writable
- when running under Windows® ME or 2000, native Open & Save dialogs (with
  "Places" bar) will be used
- completely changed internal functions for generating relative paths, they are
  more robust now
- removed that limit of maximum 10 external programs, now you can add as much
  external programs as you want
- added an option to convert all extended characters outside <...> blocks
- added a couple of new commands for easy creating anchor tags
- some internal code cleanups and some cosmetic changes have been done
- Tag Designers for <TH> and <TD> tags were inserting wrong ending tag - fixed!
- fixed bug in "Update Snippets / In All Files that are in Current Project"
  function
- fixed access violation (that's bug) when right-clicking on empty document
- fixed access violation in right-click tag editing feautre which was appearing 
  when blank color parameter (i.e. BGCOLOR="") existed in HTML tag

July 25, 2000 / Version 1.4 Build 2001 (Pre-Release)

- added an option to lowercase all inserted HEX color values
- fixed one very stupid bug in change tag case function which I introduced in 
  previous version, I apologize for this
- fixed one small bug in Close and Close All functions - if you clicked on 
  'Cancel' they would be disabled

July 22, 2000 / Version 1.4 Build 2000 (Pre-Release)

- HUGE speed-improvement, HTML Beauty will now start in around 7sec (measuring 
  has been performed on clean computer start, without any loaded applications; 
  program was started directly by calling main executable file through Windows 
  Explorer)
- added SIX new Tag Designers for <TR>, <TH>, <TD> and three new types 
  of <INPUT> tag. 
  Total number of Tag Designers is now: 28!!! (more to come)
- finally added the long-awaited "Right-click tag editing" feature, 
  just right-click inside HTML tag and you'll see new "Edit <...> Tag" 
  option... Enjoy! :-) (currently supported tags are: <A>, <BASEFONT>, 
  <BODY>, <FONT>, <FORM>, <FRAME>, <FRAMESET>, <HR>, <IFRAME>, <IMG>, 
  <INPUT>, <SCRIPT>, <SELECT>, <TABLE>, <TD>, <TH>, <TR> and <TEXTAREA>)
- finally added customization of Syntax Highlighting!
- added an option to lowercase all inserted HTML tags
- added an option to use .htm as default extension instead of .html

- changed behaviour of "Change Tag Case" function - now it won't touch text

- fixed one VERY SERIOUS issue regarding Windows® 95 operating system,
  HTML Beauty would not work on it, because I was not aware that Windows® 95
  shell library doesn't have some functions which I was using (BTW If you are 
  using Windows® 98 or later, you don't need this version - the previous one
  is OK)
- fixed a few typing errors

June 5, 2000 / Version 1.3.5 Build 2083 (Pre-Release)

- changed the name to MAX's HTML Beauty++ ME (Millenium Edition),
  also changed the name of Image Beauty (I've only removed "99" part)
- removed that stupid limit of 50 files, now you can open as much files
  as your computer, memory and free resources can handle! :-)
- much improved file handling!
- finally added Internal Preview using Internet Explorer
- finally added support for HTML TIDY (you can create different profiles
  for HTML TIDY and after running it using one of them, you can see the
  results in the "Results" Toolbar)
- usage of ini file for storing program options has been dropped,
  everything is stored in Registry now
- you're now able to add all Web-Related files to project(s) (before, you were
  only able to add HTML files)
- fixed that stupid "issue" with Anchor Tag Designer (also released as patch)

April 2, 2000 / Version 1.3 Build 2000 (Pre-Release)

  * cosmetic changes to it's interface (new splitters)
  * you can now perform Batch GIF Optimize on the selected folder
  * you can now convert any existing GIF or JPEG image file to WBMP

- finally added EXTREMELY POWERFUL "Extended Find & Replace" functions!
  you can perform search using perl-compatible regular expressions, also
  you can search all open documents, then in specified folder or

- added possibility to add "BORDER=0" when dragging an image file from 
  Quick Open, or when creating an image tag from Image Beauty

  tags, etc.
